I've also tried to plug these fans in a different channel on the Smart Device: Same problem (so it doesn't seem to be a problem with a particular channel on the Smart Device or the cable, because CAM is still able to change their speed, but only when it starts).įrom what I've found, the Smart Device V2 doesn't play very well with 3-pin voltage regulated fans. I've re-verified the connections and they're all connected correctly. What I don't get is they were working normally before I installed the Kraken. The only thing I can do to restart them? Closing and re-opening CAM. If I try to change these 3 pre-installed case fans speed manually (curve), they will stop spinning completely after a few seconds. The 140mm fan and the 3 Kraken fans work perfectly though and every change is applied right away. If I apply a different profile (Silent for example), I have to close CAM and re-open it for the new profile to get applied to these pre-installed fans. The problem I have though: Since I've installed the Kraken, the 3 x 120mm case fans can't be controlled in real-time. Nothing is connected to the motherboard except for the CPU fan/pump connector, to monitor the pump's RPM, and the USB 2.0 connector. These 3 groups of fans are all connected to the Smart Device V2, on their own channel. Let me explain: I have a NZXT H710i case that came with 4 fans pre-installed:Īnd I now have 3 x 120mm fans that came with the Kraken X73. Hi guys I'm having a problem with NZXT CAM (latest 4.5.1 version) since I've installed a Kraken X73.
